THE SOUND RECORD A DOUBLE LIVE LP
THE MARQUEE, AUGUST 27 & 28 1985

On August 27, I was at the Marquee to see THE SOUND. We were told it was to be recorded for an album; it has this week been released as a double live LP called IN THE HOTHOUSE. There were more tourists than fans at the sold out show. They played for almost two hours, opening up with 'GOLDEN SOLDIERS'. (Which didn't make the LP - ed) He introduces 'JUDGEMENT' as "a song for those who want to know what I think about religion". (That intro also cut from the LP - ed)

They played a lot from HEADS AND HEARTS and FROM THE LIONS MOUTH. During SENSE OF PURPOSE everyone started pointing to ADRIAN BORLAND as he sang "what are we going to do". It was an extremely exciting show and it made me upset when I wasn't going to make it the next night, it was just of those shows that made you long for an instant replay.
