Read about "The Sound" in an obscure music magazine back in 1983 and, as a result, purchased an import of "All Fall Down." I thought it was terrific, but sadly I forgot about this great band for many years until stumbling on to "Thunder Up" as well as A. Borland's solo "Brittle Heaven" a couple of years ago (via iTunes). More recently I decided to purchase the entirety of "Thunder Up" and have been stunned by how wonderful a record it is and how it (and "The Sound") continue to be virtual unknowns here in the U.S. It is truly astonishing that such wonderful, thoughtful, intelligent, & heartfelt music has been neglected. Thankfully, it appears the band is finally receiving some long overdue attention with the recent (and imminent) box set releases of the bulk of their catalog. I can hardly wait to hear all of the sublime music from "The Sound" now becoming readily available!
